okay so!!! today i went to a twenty-four hour game jam and it was really fun and interesting! two girls asked me to team up with them because i could draw, and i ended up drawing for a total of fifteen and a half hours over the course of the twenty four hours. that's quite a lot... it was split over two days, so one day was twelve hours and the next day (03.01.2026) was also twelve hours. the first day was mostly spent drawing sprites for the game, and the second day was mostly spent drawing backgrounds. with my teammates, i successfully completed all of the art for a visual novel in under twenty-four hours! one of my teammates coded it, and another wrote the story and dialogue.

overall though, the day was pretty rough. i was suffering from a major headache as well as a lot of nausea and acid reflux and it was so bad. coupled with the fact i had to wake up at like six am to get the hotel the event was hosted at... yeah. it wasn't great. however!!! the journey went well and i did end up successfully finsishing a game, which is great. we also won a lot of prizes! our game was voted best game by the rest of the members participating in the game jam, as well as a github. we also won best art, so that's cool!

ultimately the experience was really fun and i'm looking forward to participating in more game jams in the future!

today was my keyout for the mental health program i attend! for context, i used to (edit: now i do. i got readmitted after going to the psych ward. not fun) be in an intensive mental health program that was fifteen to twenty hours a week. quite a lot! a keyout is when someone graduates from the program.

most of you probably don't know how it works, but basically everyone says nice things to me and gives me their well wishes. it was so sweet and nice and everyone said awesome things like how they love my artstyle and how they've all seen my progress from may until now. all of the therapists there also said super nice things to me and it was so fire... and then i got to have chocolate cake. delicious. also i talked to that one intern about silksong for like thirty minutes and it was so great.

today was my first day at college! for those who don't know, i;m in this special high school college program where all of my classes are college classes, i go to school at the college, and when i graduate high school ( 2027 ), i'll get my associates degree.

anyway, my first day was pretty okay! minus the. well. major traumatic incident that went down. basically i was feeling like... really sick that day. like really sick. like "i'm about to pass out if i don't sit down right now" kind of sick. attendence for the first day was mandatory, though, so i still went. it just so happened that that day we had to get out books from the bookstore, and imagine like fifty kids waiting in line to get their books. and i was at the back of line. and no, there was no place to sit and wait. so i stood up for around forty minutes waiting to check out and by the time i had actually gotten out of the store, i was feelling like i was about to faint and throw up. and guess what. yep. i threw up. i threw up in front of all my classmates on the first day of school in the middle of building nineteen and it was. it was terrible. zero out of seven experience would not recommend to anyone.

other than that though, the day was okay! i met three of my teachers, some of my classmates, and everyone seemed pretty nice. looking forward to this year ^_^
